First, for conventional ball-bearing linear guides, if the product is of the ball-retainer type, the steel balls will not fall out even when the carriage is fully extended. For other models, there are two configurations: one with ball-retaining retention and one without. For products without a ball-retention feature, the steel balls will fall out when the slider is pulled out. This issue can be resolved by using a dummy rail and a plug. For AMT linear guides, since they predominantly use roller bearings, the rail profile ensures that the carriage cannot come off. It is only necessary to install stop devices at both ends. Even if the carriage were to disengage, it would not cause any issues, because AMT guides almost always employ a roller design rather than ball bearings.
