When developing this type of product, we opted for a combination of high-density engineering plastics and aluminum alloy to reduce the coefficient of friction and ensure reliable operation in harsh environments characterized by dust, moisture, and other challenging conditions. In fact, our company employs two methods for working with high-density engineering plastics: one is injection molding using the raw material, and the other involves extruding the material into rods or sheets, followed by compression molding and welding, and finally machining on cutting equipment. Over 90% of the products manufactured and sold by Germany’s igus GmbH, as well as by many other European companies, are produced via injection molding. The product shown in the video is a key component used on CNC lathe and CNC milling machine automated production lines to automatically feed raw materials. The company using this product is a sizable, publicly listed firm in China. Previously, they used very simple ball-type transfer bearings to build this system. However, long-term operation would lead to errors and failures, and the installation process was time-consuming. Of course, many Chinese companies are still using traditional manufacturing methods today. This company uses a product whose manufacturing cost is approximately three times higher than that of existing alternatives. By doing so, they have reduced assembly time and achieved precise results, leading to repeat orders on a regular basis. It has been 18 months since its initial development and launch, during which time it has operated without any issues. Currently, there is also a high volume of orders. The fact that this product is being sold through AMS’s Xi’an distributor demonstrates that designers and machine manufacturers are not deterred by high prices; rather, they will purchase and implement the solution as long as the pricing is reasonable and justified. Of course, uncharted paths and cutting-edge choices pursued by other companies pose a challenge. However, over time, this trend is likely to dominate the market.
