The FDR-PKR product is a material graded as G2 by our company. “G2” refers to linear guides and sliders made of aluminum alloy, with rollers constructed from engineering plastics. Of course, depending on the type of engineering plastic used, there can be significant differences in durability, chemical resistance, and price. Many customers are concerned because the rails are made of aluminum alloy steel. However, the rail surface has undergone a ceramic coating treatment, achieving a surface hardness of HRC 54 or higher. Consequently, when paired with engineering plastic rollers, wear is minimal. Of course, under special operating conditions—such as in environments containing steel dust or sand—if the rotating components of the bearing fail, the rail surface may be damaged, potentially leading to rail failure over time. However, based on my experience, the incidence of such failures is only 0.01%, which I consider acceptable. The FDR-PKR series is designed to replace high-cost stainless steel linear guides in wet and high-humidity environments.
